How to Connect to Mozart Mud

Telnet URI: telnet://mozartmud.net:4500

Quick Start

Install a MUD client (see options below).
Create a new connection/world: host mozartmud.net, port 4500.
Connect and create your character.

Recommended Clients

Desktop

MUSHclient (Windows) – lightweight, great for triggers/aliases.
Mudlet (Windows/Mac/Linux) – modern UI and scripting.
TinTin++ (Win/Mac/Linux) – terminal client, very scriptable.

Mobile

Android: BlowTorch and Mukluk
iOS: N/A At this time.

Example Setup

MUSHclient: File → New World → name it “Mozart Mud” → Server: mozartmud.net, Port: 4500 → enable ANSI colors → Connect.
Mudlet: New Profile → Host: mozartmud.net, Port: 4500 → Connect.
TinTin++: tt++ -G -C mozartmud.net 4500

Troubleshooting

Allow outbound TCP on port 4500 (firewall).
On Windows, enable “Telnet Client” or just use MUSHclient/Mudlet.
Seeing odd characters? Turn on ANSI/UTF-8 and a monospaced font.

New-player quickstart

Create a character, then try:
help new — starter commands
look / score / inventory — orientation
say <text> and tell <name> <text> — chat
consider <mob> — gauge difficulty
cast '<spell name>' <target> — spellcasting
Early goals: get a full equipment set, map a few safe loops, and ask veterans about starter zones.
