Legacy characters are available to any player who has obtained the title of Grand Avatar. Upon reaching this goal the player can surrender the Grand Avatar character to the lore and history of Mozart. In doing so they will be granted a legacy character to follow in the their footsteps.
All legacy characters shall include a character concept (story). This concept should also flow from the previous character. For example, the former 110
could have had this rogue / runaway / exile as his pupil, could be a bastard child, the result of an experiment gone wrong, etc. Each new legacy character must have a unique story and unique reason for being.
The Grand Avatar choosing to legacy must be fully equipped with a equipment set worthy of a Grand Avatar and sacrifice all their gear to the gods. The
equipment worn by a Grand Avatar when exiting the avatar-challange is con- siderd a "full set", given that the Grand Avatar legacys before re-equpping.
The following guidelines should be followed when requesting this process of legacy character creation, you may choose one of the following options.
1. The legacy character may be any unique multi- classed combo as long as that race can currently be both of those classes.
2. The legacy character may be any single-class or any existing multi-class combo with any player race. You may place a Surface race in the Underdark or an Underdark race on the Surface.
3. The legacy character may be any single-class and choose one of the special legacy races. It is not allowed to add a class at a later date.
4. The legacy character may be any existing class/race combo in the choosen realm and receive one of the following perks:
- 6 Legacy-Quest Crystals to use as you choose.
- 2 additional heirlooms (total of 3) following the heirloom rules.
- Add 5 to all stats, but not increasing them above 100.
5. Or solidifying the Grand Avatars legacy by adding a wax figurine with a custom item to the wax museum Grand Avatar exhibit. The figurine and item must obviously follow mob and object guidelines and be approved by a loremaster+. If the Grand Avatar has a personal room, this should also be copied to the exhibit as a spawning point. The room can not be peaceful or have exits to any other zone. There are no perks for a new char in this option.
In addition, each legacy character will have the privilege to pass on one item as an heirloom to their legacy character as part of their character concept. The item can not be a quest-reward, an avatar item, or a personalized item. Furthermore, the heirloom should be a newly invoked item from the same object number as the Grand Avatars item.
Also, legacy charactes must make their own way until level 50. The character may not recieve handouts from old friends, have them store equipment for them, or in any other way benefit from former associations. The purpose of the legacy character is to carve a new name for yourself, not ride the laurels of your old incarnation back to 99/99 in 2 days. It gives the opportunity to group with new folks, share a bit of knowledge, and maybe help someone who is starting out for the first time find their way in the world of Mozart.
Simply bootstrapping the character to high power flies in the face of the purpose of having the legacy character in the first place. If such behavior
occurs, the legacy character will face stiff penalties, which could include a loss of the character.
